In today's rapidly-changing market environment, it is essential for brands to resonate with the new generation of young consumers. Meiyitian, a groundbreaking smart packaging design by Chong Peng, does just that by leveraging advanced AI technology to develop a virtual world for the brand.

The core idea behind Meiyitian's packaging design is to interact with consumers through new AI technologies. When consumers scan the packaging image, they can enter the virtual world created by the brand and engage in games or other activities. This immersive experience strengthens the emotional link between the brand and consumers, fostering a deeper connection.

What sets Meiyitian apart from other packaging designs is its unique approach to brand building. By extracting the characteristics of the brand spokesperson, the design team has created new 2D and 3D dolls, building up the brand's intellectual property. Additionally, Meiyitian features online interactive games and a doll customization system, providing consumers with a personalized and engaging experience.

Consumers can easily enter the virtual brand world by scanning the characters on the package through an app. This seamless integration of technology and design enhances the overall brand experience and allows for deeper consumer engagement.

Meiyitian's realization technology is based on mobile internet AI technology, enabling the seamless integration of the virtual world and the physical packaging. The dimensions of the packaging are 65mm in width, 65mm in depth, and 220mm in height, making it compact and convenient for consumers.

The Meiyitian project started in August 2021 in China, where the design team conducted extensive research on the preferences and behaviors of the "Generation Z" demographic. With the rising popularity of the "meta-universe" concept, young consumers are spending more time exploring the virtual world. Traditional brand packaging designs have struggled to keep up with their exploration spirits and resonate with them. Meiyitian aims to bridge this gap and create a meaningful connection with the new generation.

The creative and technical challenges faced during the development of Meiyitian were overcome by embracing the new trend of the "meta-universe." The design team developed online interactive games and a doll customization system, allowing consumers to not only enter the virtual brand world but also play interactive games to earn rewards or get DIY ideas. These experiences generate valuable data that brings more positive feedback to consumers, ultimately strengthening the bond between the brand and its audience.

Meiyitian's innovative approach to packaging design has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2022. This prestigious award is bestowed upon outstanding and creatively ingenious designs that authenticate experience and resourcefulness.
